鈴木一朗效力邁阿密馬林魚，今天先發第1棒、右外野手，客場出戰密爾瓦基釀酒人，4打數2安打、1次四壞，在第1局安打上壘後達成MLB生涯第500次盜壘，助球隊6比3獲勝。

鈴木一朗成為大聯盟史上第8人達成「2900安、500盜」里程碑。累計2945安也在歷史排行榜超越原本並列的羅賓森（Frank Robinson）2943安，獨居史上第32位。

鈴木一朗1992年到2000年在日本職棒9年留下1278支安打、199次盜壘。

雖然不是官方紀錄，日本媒體提出參考紀錄，鈴木一朗在日本、美國加起來個人生涯已經敲出4223支安打，總安打數僅次於大聯盟紀錄保持人羅斯（Pete Rose）的4256支。
